MediEvil is a game released on PS1 in 1998 and it's making a big comeback this year with a remake that will be released on October 25, 2019, a few days before Halloween.
MediEvil is one of these cult games, extremely loved by the players. The remake will resume the gameplay and story of the original game released more than 10 years ago, with modern graphics in breathtaking 4K resolution.
This action-adventure game takes place in the medieval kingdom of Gallowmere and focuses on the life of Sir Daniel Fortesque, a knight. While a prophecy said that he would be destined to bring peace to the kingdom by defeating the demonic wizard Zarok, he was killed by the first arrow in the battle. The king decided to ignore this failure and made Sir Fortesque a hero. One hundred years later Zarok is back and he casts a spell on the kingdom to bring the dead back to life and build an army. But he resurrects Sir Daniel Fortesque involuntarily. And it is him that players will embody, or rather what is left of him because Fortesque is a skeleton. He has a second chance to save the kingdom of Gallowmere and at the same time, to regain his honor to finally enter the Hall of Heroes.
To achieve that, you will have to go through a lot of levels. You will have to fulfill a certain goal on each of them. You will be able to use a variety of different weapons, and even your own arm, which you can detach from your body. If you kill enough enemies in a level, you will get Soul Chalices, which will allow you to access the Hall of Heroes for rewards, including weapons.
Developed by Other Ocean Emeryville to be published by Sony Interactive Entertainment, MediEvil will be released on October 25, 2019, exclusively on PS4.
