    In Mario Tennis Aces, players can choose from a wide range of iconic Super Mario characters as well as villains, each bringing their own strengths, strategies, and personalities to the court. Different stages provide varying types of court surfaces – grass, clay, or even sand – all adding an extra element to each match. This game aims to gain enough energy points (‘Crown Shots’) by playing aggressively while avoiding receiving them yourself and taking your opponents down before they reach 10 points - at which point you are victorious. To do this you will need skillful maneuvering around the court using Trick Shot moves such as some fast-paced drop shots that quickly switch up the momentum or Zone Speed where you slow down time temporarily so your character can make amazing returns on your opponent's power shots!  You also get access to powerful Special Shots which become unlocked when gaining enough energy levels during play - these include all sorts from Spinning Bird Smashes overcharging towards your opponent with force and Atomic Energy Balls that cause huge explosions every time they are hit.
