Yakuza Kiwami is a remake of the original Yakuza game, an action-adventure title in an open world based on the real-life Tokyo. In this story you will play as Kazuma Kiryu, a member of the yakuza that spent the last ten years of his life in jail, having taken the blame for a murder committed by his friend Akira Nishikiyama. When Kazuma leaves prison after being granted parole he discovers that the world that he knew has changed a lot. Nishikiyama is now a prominent member of the Japanese mafia, and Kazuma ends involved in a dirty war between several organizations in the Kamurocho district while he searches for his missing childhood friend Yumi and ten million yen that have been stolen from his former organization, the Tojo Clan.
Yakuza Kiwami features improved graphics, loading times and some additional content compared with its predecessor. On the gameplay side, the game is similar to the prequel Yakuza 0, letting us use four different combat styles (Brawler, Rush, Beast, and Dragon) that we will use to complete missions, earning money and experience to improve our character and his fighting styles. Yakuza Kiwami introduces a new system never seen before in the series, "Majima Everywhere", where Goro Majima will appear randomly during missions and you can unlock special abilities for your Dragon Style by defeating him.
