In Dead Cells, you control a mass of cells living in a deceased prisoner, and as you fight creatures in the dungeons, you can collect weapons, abilities, armors, upgrades, and money. Defeated creatures drop cells that you can pick-up to obtain power-ups like new items or additional health potions. The cells are also the game’s currency, and you only spend these upon reaching the end of the dungeon. However, if you die before that, then you lose all the cells you have collected.
Dead Cells is packed with challenging 2D action with no checkpoint. You kill, die, learn, and then repeat the stage again. It’s a game where your skills decide whether you survive or suffer permadeath. But if it all comes to that, you always have the panic roll to fall back to.
