Final Fantasy XII has it's own HD Remake now in the revised form of Final Fantasy XII The Zodiac Age.
In the world of Ivalice, the small kingdom of Dalmasca, conquered by the Archadian Empire, is left in ruin and uncertainty. Princess Ashe, the only heir to the throne, joins the resistance to free her country. Vaan, who lost his family in the war, dreams of flying freely in the skies. Join these unlikely allies and their companions as they journey to free their homeland.
The high-definition remaster introduces several modern advancements, including the Zodiac Job System, a collection of twelve different "Jobs," corresponding to the twelve signs of the Zodiac. The Jobs which are essentially classes and each Job has it's own License Board, which contains dozens of various unlockable upgrades. Those are obtained by earning LP, or License Points, usually by killing enemies. There are also some new modes like the Trial Mode with a 100-stage which pits you against waves of enemies, designed to test your skill and ability. The Strong Mode sees all characters start at level 90 and level up normally, but only configuration settings are carried over. The Weak Mode is meant to be the ultimate challenge, with all characters starting at level 1 again, and never leveling up and again only your settings are carried over.
Aside from the various UI improvements, there is also an option to speed up gameplay by holding L1, to help the grinding.
