Over a decade and a half ago, the city of Newport Falls was mired in corruption. The criminal organization known as IMPERIO held a stranglehold on the city, and through it, it became known as a town of numerous crimes. No one seemed to be able, or willing, to touch them, until a cop named John Croft rose up and decided to take action. Assembling a trustworthy taskforce, he helped defeat most of the organization, but the leader escaped capture, and Croft was killed not long after. 16 years have passed, and now IMPERIO is back, but now, they have a new enemy to contend with.
