Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six is a tactical shooter featuring a fictional international counter-terrorist unit under the name Rainbow. The game is originally based on the novel Rainbow Six, written by the American author Tom Clancy and then adapted into a series of first-person shooter video games. This is another installment of the famous first-person shooter game developed by Ubisoft Montreal studio.
Rainbow Six is an operation hosted by NATO and funded by the US Department of the Interior. Rainbow’s base of operation is located at Hereford, England, due to its accessibility to other countries and because it has one of the most potent special force units in the world. The characters are mostly from the US and Britain but NATO countries (France, Germany, Spain, Canada, and Italy), as well as the non-NATO ally of Israel, have at least one representative.
In this game, the Rainbow Team is led by John Clark and supported by other staff and advisers. The unit has 30 operatives that include members from the NATO and non-NATO countries. A maximum of eight operatives can be deployed and split into up to four teams for each mission in the first three games. The weapons, uniforms, and equipment can’t be customized, and they depend on the operatives and missions.
